I couldn’t wait to share one of our shots from our quick studio bridal session! I don’t normally do studio work so this was a bit out of my comfort zone! Cant wait to post the rest!

Its FINALLY here! I have been waiting patiently to share this styled bridal shoot! Words cannot express how excited I was to be able to put all this together! I have always wanted to do a styled bridal shoot and I must say for my first one… it sure turned out great! Let me know what you think! Stay tuned for a post about how I created the bouquet, and how I bargained Brittany’s entire look from the dress to the head piece!

Omg! I’m so excited to see the others!!
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting the ridiculously adorable Ristow Sanday Family. The Ristow Sanday family moved to Edmonton about 2 years ago and they are originally from South Africa. You could imagine my reaction: “WHat the HECK are you doing Here, Its FREEZING!!!”
Although I normally shy away from family sessions, I can honestly say I definitely enjoyed photographing this family for my portrait assignment!! It was a brisk 8am shoot at Jackie Parker Park and the first scream of the day from this little man was “WATER!!” -Turns out 2 year old Mr. Connor had some not so fond memories of this park in the summer and couldn’t trust to believe in us when we explained that the water was “All gone!” As the shoot went on Liesel(mother), Stuart(father) and I gabbed on about the crazy lone goose resting on the frozen pond, the blue bouncy ball Dad used as a distraction from the horrifying water phobia, and of course how they were going to have a donut and a spot of tea afterwards to warm up! With a short break in the car and plenty of silly talk, we ended up with sooo many photographs to choose from! I cannot express enough the wonderful people I get to work with! Here is to one of the sweetest little families I have ever met! Enjoy!
Absolutely beautiful photos 🙂
These are ADORABLE!! What a beautiful family. Awesome job, Chels.
Chelsey!!!! You have me in tears.. Thank you so much for the beautiful photos. I literally am all juicy eyed as I type this. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have made my heart very happy!
This red haired BEAUTY has little to NO out-takes each time we shoot! Her fiery personality is truly contagious and each time we plan a shoot she is always up for anything! Although she rarely has any out-takes, Danielle always manages to strike a goofy pose for me (which always makes me keel over in laughter) – I am sure to always include this shot on her DVD. I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed shooting with Danielle for todays mini session! In her busy schedule she manages to balance being a full time student(currently studying biology and intending on going into optometry), as well as taking charge as the head coach of the U of A Dance Team! Today I decided to go back to the location in which I shot my first 4×5 film! Great weather, good company, lots of laughs and a Starbucks to finish off our day!
Love them Chelsey!!
Love these, Chels! SO pretty!
